In the introduction to One Big Party, Paul Hellyer says he likes Americans but distrusts the governments they elect which are not representative of the majority, This is especially true of the Bush Administration where a small group of neo-conservatitves from the Pentagon have seized control of U.S. foreign policy, Hellyer, who has written that we are losing our country as a result of the "national treatment" clause in NAFTA which allows foreigners to buy our assets at firesale prices, says we are fast approaching the point of no return. Further economic and military integration with the U.S., which is now being "sold" as the only viable option, will lead to ultimate annexation by that country. Canadians must choose whether they want to be Americans or not. Do we accept their moral and national values or prefer our own? No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
