In this easy readers, fog, rocks, torpedoes, cannon fire, how dangerous can the sea be? Read the story of five and dangerous voyages. Will the ships make it through safely?
I think this story would be really interesting to boys. Boys love danger and having to have the courage to try to make it through the danger.
I would use this book with 2nd through 4th graders. I would have them make a KWL chart.
I would ask the students what dangerous could happen in the sea? What they want to know about what dangers happen in the sea. I would read the story with the students and have the students verbalize something they learned. ( )
