Though less than perfect her characters are as unique as they come. The Bedeviled Viscount Brockton proves that in order to be lovable, one doesn't have to be perfect. Callie is eccentric, pushy and clueless but she is a heartbreaker anyway. Simon knows her oddities but finds comfort in her. She brings him out of his shell and forces him to relax by just being herself. He gives her the courage to listen to her heart while making her see how valuable she is to him. The positive message. The sweet characters and the simplistic delivery are enough to remind me why romance is my genre of choice. This historical book has it’s good parts and no so good. I’ve read other books by author Kasey Michaels so I was looking forward to this book. I had a hard time getting into the book and amazed by some of the words used that I had to use the dictionary. But with that I’ve learned some new words. The author does a wonderful job of describing all the characters and the scene. The storyline was good and funny in many parts. The story is about a young girl, Callie, who is set out to get revenge for her brother as he had lost all his money to Mr. Noel Kinsey. While she had put her plan in action she made a mistake of getting into the wrong carriage of VIscount Brockton, Simon Roxbury. From there the story goes on about the Viscount and Callie trying to get even with Noel Kinsey. During this time, Simon’s mother has the job of getting Callie to become a proper lady. The story has some twists and turns and you pretty much predict the ending. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

This novel is a bit more madcap than the usual Kasey Michael Regency, and that is saying quite a lot. While I wondered if the heroine sometimes had more hair than brains, I could see how she got from Point A to Difficulty B. That is a plus in my book.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and think most readers of Regency would as well. ( )
