I liked this book; it was very cute. First I liked the way the author chose to make the majority of the pages cliff hangers. One page says, “And see if she’s hiding out there in the…” and the next page would say, “…barn.” It made me want to continue to read because I wanted to find out how the sentence ended. I also liked that the author chose not to divulge that Louella Mae is actually a pig. The book ends saying, “She’s sleeping inside the tub.” The last page is an illustration of Louella Mae sleeping in a tub with all her piglets around her. This funny story shows that sometimes the thing you are looking for is right under your nose. ( )

Loved it. Great for 4-year-olds although I think my daughter prefers deep stories but I insist in books with repetition and high-frequency words ... ( )

This story in rhyme takes us on a hunt for a child (we assume) who has run off and is lost. Thanks to well-placed page turns, we're prompted to guess where she is. Bright folksy illustrations provide details about the setting and the characters. The surprise ending adds extra charm.

This book is pretty good. The children enjoy it. It is a nice collection to the collection; although I do think there are many books out there that are better. What gives this book more credibility in my opinion are the pictures. ( )
