Another fun entry in the "Here Comes...Cat" series, this one features sign-bearing Cat as a reluctant substitute teacher at Kitty School. ( )

Cat has his priorities straight. The most important thing to do each day is nap! But when he is called upon to sub for a sick teacher, he bravely agrees to teach the kitties, even though he doesn’t want to. It’s an interesting time for Cat and for the kitties, because they all learn something. When teacher Ms. Melba returns to school and sees what Cat and kitties are doing, she learns she shouldn’t get sick! This charming book is sure to entertain all ages, though it is geared for young children. The simplistic drawings do a fantastic job of illustrating emotions and add to the delight of the tale. ( )

This is about a Cat that is asked to teach kittens at school.
I thought that this was a nice little book for kids to read for fun. It was in a way interactive due to the writing style. As you read the book, it is like you are talking to the main character, Cat, " Wait a minute...Cat? Cat! Where are you?" The main character,Cat, would respond with signs like a music note when asked, "Okay,Cat--what are you going to do first?" This was my favorite part about the book. I also enjoyed the illustrations of this book. they were light but inviting. I loved how they used the illustrations to interact and "respond" to the reader.
In my opinion this seems like it would be great for those students that do not like reading because it allows the student/reader to "jump" into the story easily.
