I don’t think anyone can write whimsical-quirky-funny-heartbreaking fantasy the way T.Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon does. ( ) This is a masterful collection of short stories by T. Kingfisher / Ursula Vernon. Mostly these all fall into the fantasy category, though there are a couple that walk that dark fantasy line between fantasy and horror. Vernon even has a few poems in here which were a fun change from the more folk tale feel of many of the stories. Some of the stories are available to read for free on Vernon's website if you want to test out the style of her writing, though I greatly appreciated the author's notes at the beginning of many of these stories (and I think the author's notes were added specifically for the collection). This one is well worth picking up if you enjoy Vernon's style, and/or are a fan of rich fantastical short stories. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
A collection of short stories, including "Jackalope Wives," "The Tomato Thief," "Pocosin," and many others. By turns funny, lyrical, angry and beautiful, this anthology includes two all-new stories, "Origin Story" and "Let Pass The Horses Black," appearing for the first time in print.
