There's no way to go wrong when two powerhouses like Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams join forces. Hired Bride and The Wedding Season are a compliment to each other. This time around Ms. Chase brings on the laughter and cheers, while Ms. Adams delivers up the sentiment and tears.

Hired Bride by Noelle Adams - The trouble with love is it happens so fast. One minute you're feet are planted firmly, the next you're on your ***. Deanna knows how to rebel. She's been doing so all her life, but what happens when this renegade is asked to become a wife? To the worst possible candidate. Mitchell may look like the guy of her dreams but the minute he opens his mouth, he becomes the stuff of nightmares. Will the fighting temptations let go of pride and allow love to bridge their great divide? The beauty of Hired Bride is before you realize it, Ms. Adams will have you falling in love. (5 stars)

The Wedding Season by Samantha Chase -

The Wedding Season is my fantasy story. I was enchanted by Tricia. Nothing can trigger her overly dramatic insecurities like weddings. Happily ever afters and Prince Charming are her Kryptonite. Just the thought sends her from level headed to neurotic. The irony is that she gets this way not because she is against the concept, but because it never seems to come her way. Could it be she is just not looking in the right places? She looks to best friend Sean to keep her in check. He is her anchor in a sea of matrimony. Could her anchor be standing in the way of her happily ever after? Samantha Chase has crafted a delightful story full of witty situations, heartwarming moments that are thought provoking and believable. A good time. (5 stars) ( )

Two great romances for the price of one! Noelle Adams & Samantha Chase have writing styles that complement each other.

Hired Bride - Excellent book. Ms. Adams wrote a perfect marriage of convenience turns to marriage of love novella. Deanna's grandmother is still wrapped up in the past & preserving her family's part of it. Deanna will do anything for her since she took Deanna & her sisters in after their parents were killed in an accident. Unfortunately she is trying to set Deanna up in an arranged marriage with a man Deanna can't stand.

Mitchell is trying to buy the cafe where his mother worked for years to give her as a gift. Unfortunately, one of the owners has set her eye on him & he can't find a way to let her down without jeopardizing the deal. He decides to say he's engaged & picks Deanna as his intended. He then proposes a 6 month marriage of convenience.

Right from the first, Mitchell & Deanna bickered & fought like a true married couple. I love the moments when you could see them falling in love. Deanna's sisters & grandmother, along with Mitchell's sister, add a lot of color & depth to the story. Overall, a very enjoyable story that is heartwarming & quick to read.

The Wedding Season - It seems like everyone Tricia knows is getting married. She's tired of going solo & receiving "poor Tricia" looks. Her friend Sean is invited to the same weddings & is tired of everyone wanting to fix him up with their relatives. Sean comes up with the bright idea of them pretending to be a couple & attending the weddings together. You know what they say about best laid plans! Due to circumstances beyond his control, Sean is unable to come home for the summer so he sends his older brother, Ryan.

Ms. Chase hits her readers with a story that they all can relate to. "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride." This concept, along with the all-to-common fix ups, is something that the readers can relate to & draws them into the story. The unexpected attraction between Ryan & Tricia and Ryan's confusion as to Tricia & Sean's relationship adds tension & interest. While this is a novella & by nature shorter in length, I was able to form connections with the characters that kept me interested in how the story turns out. Another great story by a terrific author!
