Here is tale where a former first daughter has made a life for herself in a small town without her security detail to try and be an average lawyer. She doesn’t take court cases again just so she doesn’t draw attention to herself. Kayla Harris is alone, except for her ailing father from whom she lives far away. Though people still recognize who she is in the town, they respect her desire for anonymity. Unfortunately, there are those who are now after her and are not playing around; they are playing for keeps. The problem is Kayla has no idea why they are after her! Then, her former protector from the secret service, Conner, shows up just when all goes wrong in Kayla’s world. I loved the story which shows Kayla’s and Conner’s past relationship and now they are forced together. This new series by Lisa Phillips is a fun, entertaining and thrilling read so please grab a copy and enjoy Lisa’s story as well as look at her other novels that are exciting too!
