( ) I liked and did not like this book at the same time. One reason I liked about the book was the topic that it was about. I always find historical information interesting. I also liked how the author included photographs from that time period. A reason I did not like this story was that it was very wordy. I do not think a 5th grader would find this book interesting to read if they were looking to find books to read. The language of this story was narrative. The author told the story of the brothers in the order of how all of the events happened. The author started with their family by talking about their father “Milton Wight [being] away from home for weeks at a time to work with members of his congregation, who were spread throughout the Midwest” (10). Then later on the author talked about their road to building a powered airplane (33). The pictures in this story made the story more interesting. They were real photos from the past. They also had captions underneath them describing what the pictures were about. The overall big picture of this book was to show the lives and story of the Wright brothers and how they came around to building the first powered airplane. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
