Although written at an 8th level, it was very engaging and told through words from many of the main participants. ( ) This is a non fiction book about the civil rights movement. It covers the events and people leading up to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. It talks about people such as Martin Luther King Junior, E.D. Nixon, Rosa Parks, and many other less famous but important individuals. It covers events during this time and explains the political events and thoughts going on during this time in a way that children would be able to understand. This would be a good book to have in a classroom for older, more advanced readers, if you were learning about the civil rights movement and MILK Jr., or children who were very interested i historical informational books.
