When everything becomes too wet from the long, hard rain, the mouse family has to find a new dry house.

Summary: This story is about a little mouse family who must move because of rain. It shows them packing their things and making a new home.

Reaction: I was a little bored with the book, it is a short story that really isn't entertaining. I do like the pictures though.This would be a good book for kids to look through at the pictures.

Extension: If I were to do a lesson over mice or rodents this could be used to introduce the subject. Also, there is some alliteration in the book that could be used as examples for an English lesson. We could also discuss what rain does for animal life and what it can take away. ( )
