Since founding his exotic animal veterinary practice more than 20 years ago, David Taylor has travelled the world on a personal crusade to safeguard animal health and welfare. Consultant to many of the world's major zoos, wildlife parks and marinelands, he has treated the rare, the endangered and the ferocious denizens of the animal kingdom. He has rescued dolphins from a hotel swimming pool in Cairo, smuggled a scorpion out of Africa and was adviser on elephant welfare during Ian Botham's walk through the Alps in Hannibal's footsteps.
