Great read loved the characters as well as the story line. I could not tell how it was going end which was unusual for me. Can't wait to read more books from this author!

This was a super fast pace read to listen to while i was doing some cleaning and planning. I really liked how this book focued on a cult and fbi agent venturing back to murders happening in a cult that mom runs. I also loved the element of this story both mystery, romance and action packed adventure. I felt like there was so many characters and it was a tad confusing to follow who was who but overall i it was a fun time and it reminded me of watching a crime t. v show!! ( )

A kickoff to the series! Eden was raised in a cult and now is an FBI agent. She's drawn back to her hometown in Montana when she's sent a picture of a murdered girl who bear startling similarities to her and some things that her mother's cult engages in Zach is the Sheriff of the town and the cult has always laid a shadow on the town. Eden and Zach team up to investigate and more murders occur. Eden is barely hanging on with flashbacks to her life in the cult and the things her mother reigned down on her. Plenty of suspects, more murders, and a cat and mouse game with someone who is taking more lives with an end agenda. Eden must confront her past along with feelings for Zach while trying to keep herself alive. Fast paced and twisty! ( )

Eden Collins escaped the cult run by her mother, Martha, when she was a teenager and grew up to be an FBI agent that specializes in cults and serial killings. Even though she was determined never to return, an email picture of a young murdered girl found on the outskirts of the Elysia compound forces her to come back to the home of her youth. Sheriff Zach Owens isn't happy about Eden's presence as he tries to solve the girl's murder, but when a second girl is taken, he has no choice but to accept her help. Together they not only work toward finding the connection between the cult and the murder, but they must also fight the inappropriate attraction growing between them.

The Devil's Daughter takes the reader into the world of cults, using Eden's thoughts to show how people are drawn into a cult and what makes them stay. Although Eden is a strong woman and FBI agent, she still feels the pull of her mother's influence. The clues lead to a number of suspects, but the way those clues come together at the conclusion of the story is unexpected. Unfortunately, the romance between Zach and Eden seems a little insta-lovey and was short-changed in favor of the mystery. Overall, however, The Devil's Daughter is an entertaining romantic suspense and the beginning of a captivating series. ( )
