Feels a little like the writer wanted to be like Brunvand just with computer stuff, humor, and no research. Still a fast read and has a few stories I haven't heard before. I get the feeling I've read better books, but if you want chuckle this might not be bad. Or you could just read the jargon file. It is good that unlike some books it tends to have an outsider perspective, not the insider perspective that many programmer jokes center around. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Are you someone who'd use a RAM chip as fertilizer? Do you think that the best way to boot up a computer is with a steel toe? Then The Devouring Fungus is the book for you. Anyone who's ever had anything to do with computers--from the sophisticated hacker to the confused office worker to the unsuspecting parent who finally relented to the kid's demand for a PC--will find something here to chuckle about.
