It's a very easy read and super informative and educational. ( ) This text designed with early readers in mind seeks to provide simplified explanations for many of the questions might have about people who need wheelchairs to get around. Although average sentence length is very low and amount of decodable words is very high, it still manages to treat its subjects with respect in straightforward language. This is emphasized by the repetition of "kids who use wheelchairs" - author Lola Schaefer refers to the person first instead of the disability. While it doesn't clarify every misconception ever (it only has 121 words after all), I think this is a valuable text for a classroom library, especially when quality books about children with disabilities are so few and far between. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"Some people use wheelchairs to get to and from places. What does that mean? Using simple, engaging text and full-color photos, readers learn why someone would use a wheelchair and what daily life is like for someone who can't walk. This book includes a video, which launches via a 4D app."-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
