Age: 9+ This book provides detailed information about a ten year old girl name Anni who travels counterclockwise around India with her parents for about 3 months. It is very specific and descriptive on how she traveled and what she saw on the streets and it illustrates the daily life of people living in India. There way of transportation was riding an elephant, a camel, walking, or riding a bus. She saw children at school, people cooking food on the street, vendors, and a lot more of exciting things. There are pictures of post stamps, hotel receipts, lottery tickets and etc. in the illustration of the book. This book will be useful in a topic of multicultural literature because it gives very good and descriptive details on a child who’s visiting India. It allows students to actually see daily things that really go on in India instead of portraying things to be bad or good. It also demonstrates the variety of things that go on day to day in India. Students can compare and contrast India to America or another country and recognize specific things that are different. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
