I've kind of given up on Christine Feehan. But I took a gamble here. This was pretty decent on the whole. I liked the heroine's DNA modifications. They were interesting and pretty well done. The author avoided the overwhelming sweetness of the last book I read in this series. There was some of course, the whole all the men love all the women stuff. No one at all ever talks behind anyone's back or just doesn't get along. Oh well.

One of the things that held this back for me was that every time some thing was set up and you thought 'well this is going to be interesting' the story went in another direction. To the extent that sometimes things were dropped. It also annoyed me that every time anyone asked the heroine about herself, she just told them. No effort to hold anything back from anyone. She would have been a much more interesting character if she had remained a little more mysterious and the guys would have had to work to discover who she was. ( )

Power Game is the 13th installment in the GhostWalker series. Bellisia Adams has the DNA of an octopus so she is comfortable in water and can change her appearance in order to blend with her environment. While on a mission for Peter Whitney, she manages to find a way to escape and ends up saving Ezekiel Fortunes from the clutches of Mr. Cheng who has been working with Violet in order to establish her as vice-president. It isn't long before Ezekiel and Bellisia realize that they have been paired and work together to continue keeping the Fontenot family safe.
This is a solid entry into the Ghostwalker series. It doesn't live up the the earlier stories, but it is better than #12. Overall a quick, enjoyable read. ( )

Bella discovers Violet betraying a Ghostwalker team in Louisiana. Ezekiel is a hunter and a healer and when he gets her scent he hunts her down. She went to Louisiana to determine if they should be warned and ended up finding people she could call family. I lot of great story here, some repetition, as well as revisiting past and future walkers.

Excellent book by an excellent author. Fast paced and includes most all of the characters who reside in the swamps either as part of the novel or referred to in the book. Dr. Whitney and Violet are villains to hate more than most any other. Just when you think they couldn't get worse, they do. Christine Feehan renewed my interest in the series. I'm can't wait for the next release. ( )
