IN the end the bat gets a new mother. This book sounds like a children's story but is full of bat facts through out it. This story would be really good for first and second graders. They would be able to get into the story and learn something at the same time. The big idea of this book is to inform readers of the life of bats. It starts with the birth of a bat and explains how the mother hunts, feeds and communicates with the bat and the predators they may encounter. I like this book for two reasons. First, it reads like a fictional book. The text is laid out in a way that makes it look like a poem. Instead of talking about bats in general, the author focuses on two main characters: the mother bat and the baby bat. Second, although it reads like a narrative, it presents factual information about bats in an engaging way for readers. To go along with the feel of the book, the illustrations are realistic but very artfully done. By the end of the book, the reader has learned a lot of about the life of bats This book describes the process a mother and her baby bat go through, from birth until death. When the baby bat loses his mother to an owl attack, he finds himself a new mother that has lost her baby. Good read aloud book to teach about the circle of life and to get children involved in learning about different animals. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
