Dateline Manila: September 11, 2001: 8:58PM - I turned on CNN and received the shock of my life. There before me was the tower in flames. Suddenly, the second plane appears. Contact! Minutes later...the collapse of both towers. Muslim terrorists! Who are the Muslims? You hear about them in the news every day. Many people associate them with terrorism and cruelty. Some admire their willingness to die for their faith. Others wonder if there is more to Islam than fanaticism and martyrdom. And Christians ask, "how do we respond in faith and love to these people?" This question is more pressing than ever. Phil Parshall understands the Muslim heart and mind. Living as a missionary among Muslims, he knows them - not as a band of fanatics on the evening news, but as individuals, some good, some bad. [Foreword] Is this fascinating book designed to help us understand Islam in the light of Christian thinking or to understand our own faith at a deeper level against the backdrop of Muslim thinking?

[Foreword] But enough of describing what the book is like--plunge in and open up for an exciting mental emotional, and spiritual experience.
[Introduction] It is my earnest hope that this book will lead to a deeper understanding between Muslims and Christians. Is it too much also to pray that these considerations will lead us as Christians to hunger more for holiness and, therefore, cause us to become more powerful witnesses to Muslims on behalf of Christ, who is the only Way, Truth, and Life?
There will be struggle and pain. But through it all, let us keep pressing on . . .and on . . .and on! By God's grace we, too, will each our desired haven.
