Adorable, especially for the age group (9-12) that it's aimed at. I'd even go a bit younger. The themes of what makes a person a good friend, and how does one go about making a new friend, lend themselves well to discussion.

Personally, I thought it a bit simplistic - but then, I'm not a kid. It is episodic, meaning that within the story arc are chapters that read like short stories. This makes for a good class or family read-aloud. My favorite chapter is Aurora Borealis, in which Rory and Bolivia are left to amuse each other after Derek goes to summer camp. ( )

This book is surely not boring! This is not common story since it don’t talk about love triangle, instead it measures friendship. I don’t think having a girl friend is not hard, it is helpful indeed. I wanted to read this book soon. I am curious about what is the end of this story! ( )

Summary: Two inseparable ten-year-old boys discover there is room in their friendship for another person and it really doesn't matter that she is a girl.
