A very simplistic book that can open the conversation up when death occurs to a child too young to fully comprehend what has transpired. Although this is not the most upbeat of subjects, unfortunately, it can be a very sad and harsh reality to some children, and this book is a great example to help children understand that memories can be just as powerful as physical presence of a lost one. The book approaches loss in a very quiet, relaxed and naturalistic manner. This can be a very difficult subject, no matter how young or old one may be, and this book attempts to give some peace of mind to children who may have experienced someone passing. ( )
