I feel like this would be good for a new believer, but for someone well versed in Chritianese there is not much new - other than Tebow's examples. I'm glad he has such a positive message to share with his fans. God for those interested in sports figures and religious living - as long as they don't expect too much depth. I purchased this book from Amazon to #buddyread with my friend Kayla. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Shaken by Tim Tebow. I have always been a Tim Tebow fan from the moment he was a Florida Gator to the day he was cut from the NFL and even when he played college ball I made a remark to my children and said, "The world is not ready for what Tebow represents." My kids told me I was crazy, they said Mom he will make it he's a great ball player. Turns out he went to the NFL kept as low a profile as possible, but it wasn't in the cards. While the rest of the world criticized him or poked fun Tim really struggled with what he wanted to do. Turns out God's plans were different for Tim and it took a lot of emotional struggle, family support, and a little bit of faith for Tim to see there was a bigger picture. In this book he walks through memories that will make you smile, bring tears to your eyes, and make your heart swell all at the same time. While Tim's dreams were twisted around his Faith was never a question he knew there was a plan even if it wasn't what he dreamed, and he helps the reader remember to look for that too. Review also posted on Instagram @borenbooks, Library Thing, Go Read, Goodreads/StacieBoren, Amazon, Twitter @jason_stacie and my blog at readsbystacie.com A powerful reminder of the fact that who or what we are in life is not nearly so important as Whose we are -- that a life lived in the light of the Gospel of Christ makes all the difference when we are confronted by adversities, challenges, and setbacks. Tebow shares openly his successes as well as his failures -- professional and personal -- but consistently points to Jesus as our model, our hero, our inspiration. Uplifting and encouraging! I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I didn't know a lot about Tim, but now I am a fan (even though he did play for the Broncos LOL). I enjoyed reading about his accomplishments and his work with W15H and the Tebow foundation. I loved how he stands for Christ and doesn't allow for society to mold him. The personal connection was the selling point for the book for me, also did the study along with reading this. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
