I liked the story line of this book but it had some inappropriate words and I wouldn't reccomend it. Some words were heck, shoot, donkey, dog, darn, so yeh don't read it. ( ) 235 pound Moo Nelson is the protagonist of this noir-ish novel about a boy who witnesses a car accident and a set up for a murder conviction. Moo is pulled between lying for corrupt police who want finally jail a career criminal and telling the truth and freeing a vicious criminal. At the same time, Moo must face daily humiliations at school and deal with a complex and ever-changing relationship with his one friend. The book is suspenseful and the view of morality and human nature dark and ambiguous. The end is a cliff hanger and, while it rings true to the story, it is not really satisfying. Moreover, the colloquial language make the book hard to read at times, especially for English language learners. This book provides a different side of "crime" for a young boy named Moo Nelson. He is overweight, and is often mocked at school. To get away from the pressures, Moo likes to stay on the bridge, and watch the cars pass by. However, once Moo witnesses a murder, he has to overcome faulty policemen, threatening criminals, and a need to protect his friend. The book is written in a dialect hard to read, but I think that it shoves us into the life of this unfortunate boy. This is an interesting story, and is an eye-opener to crime. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
