I read Othello in high school, again a couple times when teaching high school English, and again now as a grad student in creative writing. It's not my favorite of Shakespeare's tragedies, but it's still very good. (It is Shakespeare, after all.) A good read on literary merits, of course, but also important for teaching you how to recognize the Iagos in your own life. ( )

For me the greatest play ever written. Iago is unsurpassable achievement. ( )
