Hotel Bruce is a very well-illustrated book about a perpetually grumpy but big-hearted bear named Bruce and his adopted geese children. Without reading the previous book I can infer that that they imprinted on him and that he is now their 'mother.' While taking them South (on a bus) for the Winter, his den gets turned into a successful wildlife Hotel by three cheeky mice, and hilarity ensues. At the end he kicks everyone out, only to welcome the mice back in again because it's not kind to leave them out in the rain.

The book is fun and entertaining for me, so I would certainly recommend to adults reading with children, and for young readers from (advanced) 1st through 4th grade. ( )

I've introduced you to Bruce. Well, he's back in #2. After migrating with his adopted goslings he discovers that his haven in the woods has been turned into a hotel. All sorts of animals live in.

And remember, Bruce wants to be ALONE!

I always smile with these books, but this one especially. Because you really do discover Bruce is such a softy ;) ( )

Just as fun as the first book. ( )
