This is one of those stealth Christian books where it's all about how we love each other and the lovely day we have and then suddenly at the end we're praying and thanking God for that day and it's like record scratch whaaaa. But it's nice on the whole and I guess the God bit can be the occasion for a conversation like "Well Emmett, some people believe a guy named God created the world, and ...." (We've already read a little Bible--the begats, because I thought he'd like them, and he did.) ( )
