A collection of YA apocalyptic short stories featuring protagonists with disabilities. I was impressed with the consistent quality of these 15 stories. There wasn't one that I didn't like. I had my doubts about a few of them at first, but by the time I got a few pages in, I was hooked. There was the usual assortment of causes for the End of Life as We Know It: lots of plagues, environmental disasters, and aliens, a couple of less common ones, and one that was completely new to me. And not a zombie amongst the lot of them, I'm happy to say. Absolutely fantastic anthology about chronically ill and disabled people surviving various apocalypse scenarios - despite, because of, or simply along with their illness or disability. It’s a fairly consistent group of stories; there’s only one I can remember not being especially drawn into, and many of them left me wanting more, as a good story often does. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

"An anthology of apocalypse fiction featuring disabled and chronically ill protagonists, proving it's not always the 'fittest' who survive-- it's the most tenacious, stubborn, enduring and innovative characters who have the best chance of adapting when everything is lost"--Back cover. These stories are just amazing pieces of various worlds after the end of the world, and how people with a whole range of disabilities adapt to the changes that have happened. I loved every author's take on the theme. I can't say whose I liked best because I liked them all so very much. I can't wait until the official launch on the 30th of May for Defying Doomsday to be available to the world, and I hope the world loves it as much as I love my author copy, which I have been cuddling on and off since it arrived.
