Mrs. Jolly, the friendly, cuddly, overweight school caretaker, is secretly a witch, who uses her powers very sensibly to clean the school after hours. Once a year (on Halloween) she competes in the Great Witches' Steeplechase using the school's broomstick, but she always comes in last. So her cat suggests she needs a modern machine to win the race -- a vaccum cleaner! Though she comes in first, the other witches claim it was unfair and disqualify her as Witch of the Year. But Mrs. Jolly is just happy to have come in first, especially as it's her last year before retirement. ( )
