The boyfriend for hire/fake relationship tropes are some of my favorites and this story didn't disappoint! I love how Spencer helps Andrew own his accomplishments, unabashedly embrace his interests, and have more confidence in himself. I'm also glad to see Spencer slowly opening up to Andrew; he deserves his own pillar of support. They're super sweet together and I can't wait to see how their relationship continues to develop :) Look, I've got library books piling up. Glorious rereads going, and I'm reading this book. And I just don't care. In fact, maybe I'm a little annoyed. So much talk about how sexy the other one is and one doesn't know it and one's weak, and one's meh...blah. Here's Angry's review. And if this isn't a ringing endorsement, IDK what is (to borrow from her last line). https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1848377456?book_show_action=false&from... sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Spencer Cohen is the guy who gets answers to relationship questions. Playing the role of the new lover, his job is to make his client's ex realize one of two things: he doesn't want to break up or he really does. Either way, his client gets answers. The ex would either apologize and beg, or turn and walk. But in the end, Spencer's client won. If he wanted his ex back and got him, it was great. If the guy walked away, then as hard it was for the client, he knew it was over. Regardless of the outcome, Spencer's work was done. Andrew Landon's ex left him without so much as an explanation. But his sister can't stand to see him miserable, so, much to Andrew's dismay, they hire Spencer to be Andrew's new boyfriend to get the ex back. For Spencer, it is never personal. Merely a business transaction. No emotions, no strings, no complications. Yeah right. Even a blind man could see how this would end. Contains mature themes. But this was just perfect.
The banter wasn't obnoxious or over the top or trying to show off how witty the characters were. In fact, it was just refreshingly authentic dialogue between two MCs who slowly realize they have something in common. It was incredibly real.
The author got you to feel each and every emotion. Each and every butterfly, drop in stomach, heated cheeks...I was just impressed.
For the solid way it was written, I do think it could have concluded stronger and more poignantly. But overall I was pleased. ( )
