This is an Elseworlds TPB that's all bout Superman and Batman and how their lives and families weave around and collide against each other over the decades. From 1939 all the way to 2919. They meet at the 1939 Metropolis World's Fair. From there they meet their loves, marry, have kids, their kids go through the same things that kids and adults in each of the decades were going through, oh yes, while also fighting bad guys that range from the Ultra-Humanite to the Joker, a couple of Imps, to even Luthor. It was an interesting Elseworlds tale for sure. It was a little bit more political than I like in my Comics. And at som points I got a little lost trying to figure out the Batman side of things. Not to mention it would have been cool to actually see who Bruce's wife was. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

In this century-spanning tale, witness the evil that brings the Batman and Superman together as a team. From their first meeting to their confrontations with the Joker, Lex Luthor, and Mr. Mxyzptlk, their personal relationship continually evolves from best friends to bitter partners and finally respected peers. Then, in the sequel to GENERATIONS, imagine if Superman and Batman aged normally from their debuts in 1938 and 1939! How would their legacies be passed on to future generations of heroes? This title is written and illustrated by legendary comics artist John Byrne (X-Men) and includes appearances by Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, the JSA, the Spectre, Batgirl, Blackhawk, Deadman, Cyborg, and more. Collects SUPERMAN AND BATMAN: GENERATIONS #1-4 and SUPERMAN AND BATMAN: GENERATIONS II #1-4. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

It's a great take on the dynamic duo, focusing on what they tick and how their friendships blossomed over the years. The first two chapters are great to read, especially in the way Batman is humanized. The third chapter is brutal for what it is, but all that is redeemed by the end.
Highly recommended if you're a fan of either of these two titans. ( )
