NCLA Review - In his introduction, Anglican priest O’Donnell states that studying other faiths encourages dialogue and cooperation without compromising one’s own beliefs. This dialogue can overcome prejudice and racism and lead to resolution of peace and justice issues. Attempting to be fair and balanced, O’Donnell covers six traditions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam with shorter explanations of Zoroastrianism, Baha’i, Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto, and Jainism. I agree wholeheartedly with Fortress’ description: “Illustrated throughout with stunning, full-color photography, INSIDE WORLD RELIGIONS takes the reader on a fascinating journey . . . ”.
