This MGM musical comedy, filmed in Technicolor, is typical wholesome family entertainment and is as a result, a corny and cheery story about teenagers. Based on a popular radio show which began in 1941, this merry outing follows the adventures of Judy Foster, a young woman determined to attend the big school dance with an impressive date. Judy and her lifelong friend Carol fall out when they both fall for a suave older man. A high-spirited teen, Judy manages to unintentionally make a hash of her friends and family's love lives. Songs include "It's a most unusual day," "Cuanto le gusta," "Strictly on the corny side," "Judaline," "I've got a date with Judy," "I'm gonna meet my Mary," "Love is where you find it."
