Okay so I got hooked on the idea of the Reapers while reading the Dark Kings series....now I just love, love, love them!

The second book deals with Kyran and River White. River is half-fae who grew up at her aunt's knee learning ancient fae languages and legends. She is a librarian who has some of the books that might help them figure out how Bran escaped Netherworld and how they can defeat him. It doesn't hurt that she is the only one who can read these books. There were 30 fae families and each of them wrote their own book, in their own language. River's family has always had one person in each generation who could read all the languages....and each time a new "reader" came along the rest of the family was hunted and killed by Dark.

Well of course love can't be without it's ups and downs. Turns out Kyran's family is the one killing River's. Cael is dealing with Death having some of her powers "messed" with. Talin is always vexed and vexing everyone with the over use of the word. (I thought it was funny how these badasses could get so uptight over a word) Daire is still not with the group as he is following Rhi (I NEED MORE OF THAT STORY! Not getting it in the Kings' books either right now, just hints and clues.)

Short, quick read but it had me hooked from the beginning. And you are soooo going to love the surprise River has for Kyran. ( )

Ooooooooh. So good.

Love it when a plan comes together. Dealers better set up an alliance. Quickly. Loving Death an Cael. Hope it all works out for the love they are experiencing. ( )

Listened to audio narrated well by Victoria McGloven. River is a half Fae, librarian trying to hide from other Fae. She's discovered when Kyran and company try to relieve her library of the books they need to fight Bran and the Dark Fae. She's a fighter and after a promise to find out who's been killing her family and put a stop to it, she agrees to help the Reavers. More story layers uncovered in regards to Death. Okay read, seemed hasty in spots.
