Well, the blurb is as follows Gemini, Book 1 Camille Ellis is the Earthen Conclave’s golden girl. Her peculiar talent solves cases with a touch. She isn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty, but every bright star casts a shadow, and her deepest scars lurk just beneath the skin. A routine consultation goes sideways when a victim’s brother gets involved in the investigation. Riding the edge of grief, the warg will go to any lengths to avenge his sister’s death. Even if it means ensuring Cam’s cooperation at the jaws of his wolf. When the killer strikes again, Cam is caught between a warg and a hard place. To save the next victim, she must embrace her past. Even if it means dragging her darkest secrets into the light of day. my take on it... I liked it... read it in a day... and then went for the next one.. but damn it.. not out yet.. but not far away.. so its on my to read list. A good 4 stars. I mostly liked this book but it's hard to read about children being killed. Both the female and male protagonist are a little too forlorn and intense. At one point, Camille thinks of Cord as an alphahole and I was in total agreement. I like Harlow, the mermaid, the best out if everyone so I hope I see her some more in the second book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I hoped that a different main character, more experience writing and more familiarity with the universe might improve the series but I guess not.
The mc is just being exploited by douchebags all around but the slightly smaller douchebag is ok because he also kinda has principles but not really. I just can not reconcile with the moral ideas of this author. I just don't get it.
The relationships between the protagonists are very unhealthy but that is never acknowledged anywhere which gives me the impression the author doesn't even realize how fucked up this all is.
But the most frustrating thing is how the mc just takes it while the author tries to show her simultaneously as this tough and head-strong personality. She makes a token effort to keep up the tough-gurl illusion but the slightest pressure beyond the tantrum is enough to get her to cave every time. It is painful to witness.
The mc is a walking contradiction and not in a good, multilayered way.
Watching a weak character just being swept along by the tides raised by the actions of others is just not enjoyable to me. ( )
