Sigh* Remember the feeling you got when you saw your first Disney movie as a kid and it all turned out happily in the end after many narrow escapes? Somehow, Kimberly Rose Johnson has reproduced that feeling of satisfied awe in me as I close her Island Hope, book four of the Island Romance series. This book deals with the story of electrician Hope, erstwhile also metal artist, and Derrick, the acting manager of the Wildflower Resort Lodge. Characters from previous books reappear to make the story richer. The characters seem like anybody you might actually meet and do business with. Their raw emotions and pain cause them to make unwise decisions, but ones that are understandable. The whole novel just flowed sweetly like a refreshing mountain stream. Too bad we can't meet these characters! Fear, letting go of hurts, forgiveness, talking about issues, insecurity, and trust problems all abound; Biblical solutions, without being preachy, are presented. This narrative is all about choices. I loved one choice that Hope makes:"If we all received the kind if treatment we deserved, we would be very unhappy. Let's give him some grace." I have been known to describe Christian romance books without a true message as "Christian fluff." This one will never fall into that category. A keeper, for sure!! I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Island Hope is the fourth and final book in the Wildflower Bed & Breakfast Romance Series. It could be read as a stand-alone; however, because it is a continuing story, the previous books in the series add much depth to both the characters and the story. I would highly suggest you pick up the first three books and read them as well. Kimberly Rose Johnson writes great clean romance. Her stories are sweet with a solid moral compass. I have read every book she has published to date, and have never been disappointed. Her characters are real-to-life, and are well-developed. Derrick, father of a teenage daughter, has been left widowed as the result of a tragic car accident. Follow him as he meets a lady who he considers to be a most unlikely mate for him. Engage yourself in their on again, off again romance as they both struggle to find how to best juggle their relationship with each other, while dealing with the delicate life of a teen struck by tragedy. Can Derrick accept Hope for who she is? Can their relationship survive when boundaries are overstepped? And how will Alyssa react to a new lady in her dad’s life? The contrast of the hero and heroine grabbed my attention immediately and drew me into the book. I found the story to be compelling, keeping me turning the pages for the next turn of events. I appreciate the strong faith thread woven throughout the story, telling a story of hope. Thank you, Mountain Brook Ink, for the privilege of being one of the final proofreaders before publication. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I liked seeing how the characters learned to evolve and to grow and how their faith carried them into the future. I love reading series as they give you a continuation to the ongoing story as well as introduce new characters into it.
I would recommend this series , but each story was great in its own right.
I received a copy of this book to read for review from the author. ( )
