I will never feel right about a white male author writing sex scenes for female queer characters 2. While the story and pacing was absolutely amazing, I felt I lost track of my sympathy for Mia... but only because Kristoff's characters are so well-developed I found myself interested about and cheering for each of them. I'd still give this a solid 5 stars. This man writes some truly beautiful prose and gives such a refreshing take on story-telling that I find myself envying his style. Truly inspired after reading this! If you haven't read Kristoff, you're in for the ride of your life, and what are you waiting for? Een beetje een nieuwe omgeving, oude bekenden en nieuwe mensen waarvan je doorheen het boek erachter komt of ze uiteindelijk vrienden of vijanden blijken. Mia haar eigen naam blijft lang onbekend. De eigenschappen van de schaduwen woren iets duidelijker. drie nieuwen daarvan komt ze tegen. Het hele boek is ze een gladiatorslaaf, ze gaat treetje voor treetje haar doeltrap op. vraagt zich door anderen af of het het waard is. Benieuwd hoe de verhoudingen in deel drie zullen zijn.
