( ) This alphabet book is a bit advanced for any young reader actually in need of LEARNING their ABCs. Although each picture is associated with an alphabet letter, the text page is more than just "A is for" but provides beautiful poems which also function as acrostics. The artwork, vibrantly colored linoleum prints by Leslie Evans, manages to be complex enough to convey texture and warmth, and simple enough to be eye catching and easy to follow for young and old eyes alike. This nicely illustrated fall book has a simple descriptive phrase for each letter of the alphabet, arranged in acrostic form. It is one of a series covering all four seasons. It's lots of fun to try to guess the acrostic without looking at the pictures first, but you won't want to skip the vibrant illustrations altogether. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
