Deadpool (2015-) #1 - Gerry Duggan, Mike Hawthorne, Tony Moore
Maybe it's just Duggan getting used to the reset: Deadpool is super popular, and he's funding the Avengers. (Because merchandising.) And while is was funny in a more abstract sense, with Uncanny Avengers, when dealt with head on? I wasn't as fond of that aspect. It felt... weird. Like kinda embarrassing weird. But still, lots of good.

Until Duggan started bringing up old issues. And then I was laughing all the time. It looks like all this will come back to bite him in the ass, but I hope Sabertooth comes back in particular.

There's a little bit of angst, all of which is glossed over a bit. It's cool. This was the first issue, and normal sized. What this does tell me is that Duggan is not going to pull any punches. He's going to bring the emotional baggage along for the ride, and as I've said before, Duggan can balance Deadpool's humor and emotional baggage flawlessly. l
