This is Iris’s story. From the previous stories you have gotten the idea that something bad happened to her. You find out what that was in this story. Sheriff Milo Gray has two young daughters and a mother to look after besides keeping the town in order. Iris is great with his girls and he loves that. Because of his job he has seen the really bad side of life and doesn’t find fault with Magnolia when he figures out her story. He sees the real Magnolia and to me makes him all the more loveable. This is another great story in the McPhee Clan series and would recommend it to anyone that likes historical romance.
