This book is humorous, but deals with a lot of pretty heavy topics. The author is using her art as therapy and I think she uses her platform very effectively. From death and mental illness to the crazy neighbor child ... lots of opportunity for humor and processing. I'm sure anybody dealing with some of these same issues will find a kindred spirit in the protagonist. ( )

Wonderful as always. Hard to match the joy of discovery of the early blog entries, but still delightfully relatable. ( )

This book is by turns hilarious and heartbreaking. I suppose it was more of the latter than I was prepared for, which is reflected in my rating. But I nonetheless encourage you to read it. I believe this is one of those books that I will be turning over in the back of my mind for quite some time. ( )

This isn’t a book you can read straight through. You’ll need to take breaks otherwise you’ll exhaust yourself. But there are some poignant pieces throughout the silliness and long-winded streams of consciousness. ( )

This was both hard to read right now, and exactly what I needed. Is heartwarming nihilism a thing? If so, that's what this book is. ( )
