I grew up on this stuff. Much of it scared the crap out of the younger me, but I was drawn like a moth to the flame. Lovely to revisit. ( )

Jack London is such an amazing author. His stories are simply stunning and impossible to hate. A personal favorite is the Call of the Wild, which is the story of Buck, a dog who becomes a sled dog. ( )

I enjoyed White Fang, The Call of the Wild and The Sea Wolf tremendously, but the remainder served as filler. Much of this edition is laid out in its original pulp magazine format. This seems like an intriguing idea, but ultimately made this difficult to read, due to eye strain. The edition claims complete and uncut test, but The Cruise of the Dazzler is missing its first part. This includes three of London's full length novels - Call of the Wild, White Fang, and The Sea Wolf, along with 15 of his Alaskan wilderness short stories and Cruise of the Dazzler as well.

With non stop adventure and heroic exploits these tales are as good now as they were at original publication. ( )
