Bob Greene decided to keep a day-by-day journal of his newborn daughter's first year of life. The result is this enchanting book, filled with humor and wonder and awe at the process of parenthood and growing. Greene's account of his daughter and wife so moved me that I was particularly distressed to learn years later of his divorce. I guess the one way in which I do not envy Bob Greene's life is the strain that his itinerant life must put on his relationships. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I was wrong. Reading about Bob Greene's daughter, Amanda, was a journey which I could relate to. It reminded me of all the things we tend to forget when our own children have grown up. While the parents are watching their baby grow they are in the process of growing also.
The reader really gets to know Amanda. I always looked forward to what Amanda was going to do next. Now, many years later, I wonder if Amanda really knows how many hearts she has touched, because of her dad sharing her first year with us.
It's a wonderful read. Totally worth reading. It isn't a story I will forget anytime soon. ( )
