This book is "Hanukah Cookies with Sprinkles" written y David A. Adler, illustrated by Jeffrey Ebbeler, and published in 2015. This book is about a little girl who learns the importance of sharing and inviting people into her home when they have less than her. It also talks about Jewish culture and how Hanukkah is an important time to show kindness to others. This book is a good book to share about culture. It would also be a good read aloud book during Hannukah to teach about the holiday. A little girl observes a man taking bruised fruit from a box outside the grocery store. Her grandmother tells her he is hungry, and the girl decides to start leaving food in the box for him. When she, her mother, and grandmother see the man at Friday night services, the girl asks to invite him over for dinner. Her mom checks with the rabbi, who knows the man, and he becomes their dinner guest, entertaining them with circus tricks. This story is a rare one, observing and addressing hunger and poverty in a direct manner, with no shame, and a focus on children's desire to help those in need. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
