This book was amazing, it list the ingredients you will need for each recipe. On the opposite side of the recipes is a tale, nursery rhyme or riddle that have some correlation to the recipe. Cooking always deal with math, but simplified, all the ingredients added up equals a tasty finished product. My favorite story/ recipe combination, well I had a few but my favorites were Humpty Dumpty and the egg sandwiches, Peter Piper and the pepper and pickles, and Pat-A-Cake with my all time favorite strawberry cake. I especially like the Humpty story because the recipe is for egg sandwiches, when I first saw it I immediately stopped and said oh no! How distraught the kids would be to learn that not only did Humpty die but we're going to eat him. Then I shared this one particular story with my classmates and the male in the group explained how the boys in a class would find this amusing and playful. I thought about how different kids would react in various ways and my fear of reading the story really changed, Now I would love to read this to kids but I would prepare myself for different reactions. ( )

Beautiful pictures accompany the rhymes and recipes.
