Really disappointed in this book. I love Shakespeare and I love a good parody, but this just wasn't funny. The concept was great and perhaps would have been a great way to get young adults to give Shakespeare a try. But I doubt it.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is a very funny play, with lots of dirty humor, but all of the jokes were removed. Titania falling for an ass is comedic gold and in the book it's just meh.Bottom and the players should be full of LOL's but all the asides fro te audience are pretty much cut out, so it's just not funny. Boo!
I had been looking forward to buying the other books in the series, but now I'm going to skip them. I'm glad I got this book at the Dollar Store, I would have really been upset if I paid more for it. ( )
