Lila Andrews, who hasn’t been home in years, returns on a whim, but can’t step foot on the family ranch. Ben Taylor the manager of the Circle A ranch, made a promise to his mentor that he’d see Lila back where she belonged when Lila’s father passed away. Lila doesn’t realize how closely Ben is connected to her past until they are forced to work together to rescue a neglected horse. Friendship blooms, then sparks fly, but Ben will need a miracle to convince Lila to stay. This book shows that your past can be overcome. I like how Lacy keeps you up with the characters from past books. The characters are well developed and there are twists that I wasn’t expecting. Lacy Williams is one of my favorite authors and I have enjoyed reading all of her books.
