The Protector's Mission (Alaskan Search and Rescue) by Margaret Daley

I love this series, but then I love most books that take place in Alaska. I enjoy the action/suspense in Margaret’s books and the fact that the fact that they are faith based. Lydia McKenzie has recently returned to Alaska to take over the veterinary clinic after her father’s death and to raise her stubborn teenage sister. K-9 Officer Jesse Hunt has been investigating a couple of bombings that have occurred in the area. Lydia is leaving the restroom when the next bomb goes off leaving her buried in the debris. Jesse is there to rescue her and then question her later at the hospital. This is awkward for both of them because they had been sweethearts in high school. Lydia can’t remember anything right before the blast. The action was quick paced with unexpected twist and turns. I was surprised by who the bomber turned out to be. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes clean romantic suspense.
