This book tells the story of two friends, Carole and our narrator, and their adventure throughout the four seasons in this pond. It gives scientific facts on like life cycle of frogs, the changing of the seasons, and the changing of the content of the pond throughout the seasons. I feel like this is a good book for a science class because it touches on topics that are often taught in science classes. It also tells about their friendship and what they like to do in their free time. I feel as though this is a cute, but informative book. Even though it is a fictional story, it does give science facts that we know to be true. I would love to have this book in my classroom library. I have very much enjoyed this author, and plan to explore her work more. ( )
