Edward and Meg may be twins but they consider themselves as different as night and day. Meg is the worrywart overachiever at the academically demanding Fischer High. Edward is short and scrawny and attends Charlton Street Alternative School. Meg is desperate to be part of the in-crowd at school. In an attempt to impress Kimberly Wu Woodson, Meg makes up a story about Edward being a musician and being in a band. Edward, who has been eavesdropping on the conversation, decides to get back at Meg by actually forming a band with friends and showing up at Kimberly's party. As the party date approaches, each twin, unaware of the other's lie, begins to regret their plans. But the ball is in play and both end up at the party, a raucous affair thanks to rampant rumors at both schools about the band. Both twins come to see that the other isn't so bad after all.

YA: slightly more grown-up than I expected from Abigail; entertaining tale of a brother & sister

Twins Edward and Meg are completely different, at least o the surface. Edward goes to an alternative school without grades, while Meg goes to an elite prep school where she wants to become part of the "High Achievers Club." Through a zany series of miscommunications and ludicrous misunderstandings, the twins weave a series events that finally help them see each other for who they are. ( )

BOOKTALK: Edward and Meg are like night and day. They do not look alike, they do not act alike and they do not have anything in common, other than being twins! They are entering seventh grade and they will finally be in different schools, but oddly enough, that is when the trouble begins. They will have a showdown that you will not believe. But NEVER MIND, you will have to read the book to find out more about how Meg ends up with an imaginary boyfriend and Edward is in an imaginary rock band! ( )

I think everyone (boys and girls) in the sixth grade should read this book because it is about two people and their two different perspectives. It is written by two fantastic authors. ( )
