Cargando... Trapped by Scandalpor Jane Feather
![]() Ninguno Actualmente no hay Conversaciones sobre este libro. This book was definitely better than the first one in the Trapped "series". I have no idea why these two books are considered to be part of a series since the ONLY thing they have in common is the title. The time periods are completely different, and the characters are completely unrelated. Anyway, the OTP in this novel are far better suited and more interesting that the previous novel. Hero is strong, smart, and participates in her life rather than reacting to it. William has a background story that actually has some emotional depth and conflict. I'm not sure I would have personally made the same writing choices that Feather did, but in general, I thought the story was decent. I am still, however, annoyed at the constant perspective changes mid-page (and even mid-paragraph). I don't think I will be going out of my way to give this author any more time since her novels inevitably disappoint me in some fashion. ( ![]() sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The New York Times bestselling author of the London Jewels Trilogy weaves a passionate historical romance that sweeps you from the dangerous streets of Paris to the glittering ballrooms of London. Lady Hero Fanshawe has chafed at society's dictates since the death of her fiancé taught her that joy can be fleeting. When her brother disappears in Paris at the height of the Terror, she has no hesitation in disguising herself as a boy and risking her life to find him--or in joining forces with an ally, the enigmatic William Ducasse, Viscount St. Aubrey. And she has no regrets in indulging in a passionate affair with the dangerously handsome stranger in the shadow of the guillotine... Half French, half English, William is committed to his shadow life, flirting with death to rescue imperiled aristocrats. Marriage is an indulgence he cannot afford. Once Hero returns to London, he refuses to risk her good name by continuing their liaison. But he has reckoned without the determined Hero's disregard for propriety...or the dictates of his own heart. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
